Summary:

Nathan Andrews mother is terminally ill and cash strapped, but his family is very close and loves one another. Wealthy Robert Layton is a workaholic on the brink of losing his sweet family he unwittingly neglects. When Robert and Nathan cross paths on Christmas Eve, Nathan is collecting bottles and cans, so he can purchase an expensive pair of shoes for his mother. Seeing the closeness of the relationship that Nathan has with his family, Robert begins to think that maybe he still has a chance to change the relationship within his own family.
